I.C. Presentation - Prevention Services Update: Kim Thalison, Prevention Services Supervisor, will provide a presentation to the Board sharing information and updates on the Mental Health Awareness Training and CDC Department of Adolescent Sexual Health Grants. The presentation will include program highlights, successes, and future goals.

II.B. Michigan Rehabilitation Services Agreement: The Interagency Cash Transfer Agreement with Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) provides transition and vocational rehabilitation services to students with disabilities. The cash match works by ERESA providing $40,000 and the MRS providing $108,000 through State and local funds for a total of $148,148 to be used for these services. Ryan Harp, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, is requesting that the Board authorize the Superintendent to execute the Interagency Cash Transfer Agreement with Michigan Rehabilitation Services for a cost of $40,000 for the 2019-20 school year.

II.C. Increase of .3 FTE School Social Work Position: Due to the increase in the total number of students supported by school social work services and an increase in the frequency and duration of these services needed for student's with Individualized Education Plans (IEP's), Ryan Harp, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, is requesting that the Board approve an additional .3 FTE School Social Work services for 2019-20.
II.D. MASB Delegate Assembly Designation: The Michigan Association of Schools Board's (MASB) 2019 Delegate Assembly will begin on November 8, 2019. The Eaton RESA Board needs to identify board members to offer motions and vote on issues during the Delegate Assembly. The Superintendent is recommending that the Board identify a delegate and an alternate to represent the Eaton RESA Board of Education based on members who are planning to attend the upcoming MASB Conference and Delegate Assembly.

II.E. Conflict of Interest Disclosure: Charisse Tuell, Prevention Coordinator, has been offered the opportunity to provide parenting classes for Peckham, Inc. She would be compensated for an amount not to exceed $4,000 for this work that would be planned and implemented outside of her scheduled work hours. Kim Thalison, Prevention Services Supervisor, is requesting that the Board approve for Charisse Tuell to facilitate these parent classes given this full disclosure of a conflict of interest as per Board policy #3110.
II.F. New .6 FTE Career Pathway Lab Technician: Michael Reynolds, Career Preparation Center Principal, is requesting that the Board approve a new .6 FTE Career Pathway Lab Technician position. This ESPA affiliated position will provide career exploration to students in grades 4-9, through the use of technical and career-related equipment and materials located on both the FabLab and a yet to be implemented Automotive/Heavy Equipment Lab as part of the Marshall Plan for Talent initiative. This position will transport the mobile labs to area schools and implement instructional lessons with students. The funding for the position has been provided within the CTE budget.

II.G. Vehicle Donation for the Automotive Technology Program: Michael Reynolds, Career Preparation Center Principal, has received a letter from the private owner of a 1963 Buick Riviera requesting that this vehicle be donated to the Eaton RESA Automotive Technology CTE Program for instructional purposes with students. The initial request was received by Eric Schachterle, LCC/Eaton RESA Automotive Instructor. The vehicle is valued at $4,500. As per Board Policy #7230, this gift requires acceptance by the Board of Education since it is in an amount larger than $500. Michael Reynolds, Career Preparation Center Principal, is requesting that the Board authorize the Superintendent to accept this generous donation.

II.H. Capital Area United Way (CAUW) Parent Educator/Parent Liaison Service Agreement: Jennifer McCaffrey, Early Childhood Programs Supervisor, is requesting that the Board authorize the Superintendent to execute the renewal service agreement with Capital Area United Way. This agreement provides for CAUW to employ four Parent Educators/Liaisons to implement the requirements of the "Parents As Teachers" program to at-risk children from birth to five. This agreement will be effective October 1, 2019, through September 30, 2020, for an amount not to exceed $99,000.

III.A. Relevant Academy Audit Information: Eaton RESA is the authorizer for Relevant Academy of Eaton County, and provides their school business services. The 2018-19 audit has been completed and the financial statements shared at their September 16, 2019 Board meeting. Tina Monroe, Executive Director of Finance & Operations, will provide the financial statements to the Eaton RESA Board.
III.B. 2018-19 Eaton RESA Annual Report and District Profiles of Service: Cindy Anderson, Superintendent, will provide an overview of the 2018-19 Eaton RESA Annual Report and the newly developed District Profiles of Service documents to the Board of Education.
