Acknowledge that a Public Hearing was conducted under the provisions of PA 43 of 1963 as found in the Michigan School Code of 1976 and the Truth in Budgeting Act for the 2022-23 MAISD General Fund, Special Education Fund, Vocational Education Fund, School Lunch Fund, School Activity Fund and the Capital Projects Fund budgets.
Approve the 2022-23 General Fund Budget and adopt a resolution authorizing a tax levy of 0.4518 of one mill for capital needs, future capital needs and general operating purposes, and 0.9831 of one mill on behalf of local districts for technology and security on the MAISD taxable value of $5,321,478,399.
 
Approve the 2022-23 Special Education Fund Budget and adopt a resolution authorizing a tax levy of 2.2597 mills for capital needs, future capital needs and general operating purposes on the MAISD taxable value of $5,321,478,399.
 
Approve the 2022-23 Vocational Education Fund Budget and adopt a resolution authorizing a tax levy of 0.9827 of one mill for capital needs, future capital needs and general operating purposes on the MAISD taxable value of $5,321,478,399.
 
Approve the 2022-23 School Lunch Fund Budget.
 
Approve the 2022-23 School Activity Fund Budget.
 
Approve the 2022-23 Capital Projects Fund Budget.
 
Approve final 2021-22 Budget Amendments:
  • General Fund Budget

Approve a contract with Muskegon Quality Builders, Inc. in the amount of $153,500, which includes the cost of the PLM Bond, for the Craig SXI Bathroom Project.
Approve Lakeshore Parking Lot Maintenance to provide seal coating and re-striping at the Career Tech Center, and MAISD North and South in the following quoted amounts:
  • 630 Harvey Street - $10,800
  • 684 Harvey Street - $6,807
  • 200 Harvey Street - $25,535
Approve the fueleducation invoice in the amount of $150,480.
Approve the purchase of 112 HP Chromebooks from Sehi Computer Products in the amount of $35,936.32. 
Approve the purchase of 26 HP Workstations from CDWG in the amount of $56,925.70. 
Approve the purchase of supplies for the New House and Garage Remodel at 2511 Chestnut Trail and classroom supplies for the Construction Trades program from Rycenga Building Center in the amount of $30,870.02.
Approve the Letter of Agreement  between MAISD and Whitehall District Schools for a rental agreement to lease office space for the Early On/MMSE Team in the North.
Approve the 2022-23 Contract Renewal for the Audiologist (Cheryl Henderson) for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
Approve the Out-of-State Conference Requests for the following:
