Motion: I move to approve the agenda of the January 22, 2025, special meeting, as presented.
 

II. Appointment of Hearing Officer
Motion: I move to appoint attorney Lisa Swem as acting Hearing Officer for the disciplinary hearing.
 

III. Public Comment:  This is the opportunity to address the Board.  Speakers are to confine their remarks to five minutes.  If a speaker requires more than five minutes, after all other persons who have requested to speak during this part of the meeting have spoken, that speaker will be allowed additional time.  The Superintendent or other district staff may comment to clear up or avoid significant misunderstandings. 
 

IV. Discipline Hearing for Student #1005804

IV.A. Closed session student discipline hearing pursuant to the Michigan Open Meetings Act Section 8(1)(b)
Motion: Pursuant to Section 8(1)(b )of the Michigan Open Meetings Act and upon the request of the student's Parents, I move that the Board of Education go into closed session for the purpose of conducting a hearing to consider the discipline of a student whose identity is known to the Board as Student 1005804.
