Description:  This is a meeting of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the School District's business and is not to be considered a public community meeting.

Description:  The meeting was noticed by way of publication in the Waterford Post on Friday, November 19, 2021, and by posting in the District Office, at Entrances #1 and #19, and on the District's website. Minutes from the September 27, 2021 board meeting were published in the Waterford Post on Friday, October 29, 2021. These minutes were also published on the District's website.

Description:  Athletic and Activities Administrator Jill Stobber is recommending the attached list of proposed new hires for co-curricular positions starting with the winter sports season.

Description:  The District would like to recognize the following students and staff member for their recent achievements.

7. Resident Comments
Description:  At this time the board would like to invite any member of the audience to stand with comments about items of interest or concern that do or do not appear on the agenda this evening. Please begin by stating your name and address. It would be appreciated if you would limit your comments to three minutes so that we can keep the meeting moving in a timely fashion and allow others an opportunity to speak. We ask that you remember that Wisconsin law prohibits us from discussing specific employees or their job performance. Thank you for your support of our school district.

8.A. Student Council Report
Description:  The Student Council Sergeant at Arms will provide an update on the recent activities of various student co-curricular clubs. 
8.B. FFA National Convention Report
Description:  The 94th National FFA Convention & Expo was held October 28-31 in Indianapolis, IN.  WUHS Ag. teacher and FFA advisor Michael Wicks, along with the FFA officer team, will report on their experiences at the convention.  
8.C. Comprehensive Facility Study Community Survey Responses 
Description:  Bill Foster from School Perceptions will share an overview of the community survey results.

8.D. Academic Report - Longitudinal study of D and F list 
Description:  Recently, lower-level courses such as English 9C and Elementary Algebra were eliminated, placing students in classes with academic rigor at their respective peer's grade level.  Removing students who traditionally struggled from lower-level courses and placing them in courses with more rigor would cause one to think that the number of failing grades would increase substantially.  Principal Dan Foster shares longitudinal data contradicting those assumptions.

9.A. Alternative Pathway for Graduation
Description:  Recommended motion: The Board is to approve an alternative diploma as recommended by Ms. Meyer, School Counselor and Mr. Belot, Associate Principal.
9.B. District Delegate for WASB State Education Convention 
Description:  Each year the District is required to name a board member as well as an alternate to serve as district representation at the 2022 Delegate Assembly.
10. Superintendent's Report
10.A. School Board Election Notice
Description:  This year, constituents will be voting for school board member candidates to fill a total of three seats: two seats for the regular 3-year term of office and one seat for the unexpired two-year term of office.  A copy of the Notice of Election is attached as well as the timeline for the Spring Election.
