5.G. Academic Excellence Scholarships
Description:  Waterford Union High School is able to award three Wisconsin State Academic Excellence Scholarships because our enrollment is above 1,000 students. These scholarships are awarded to the top three students of the senior class based on their grade point average after seven semesters. These students are eligible for a yearly scholarship of $2,250 per year for four years. The Board needs to approve these students and the alternates. A letter from School Counselor Niki Werner is included.
Recommendation:  The Board approves Molly Witzeling, Sophia Schoenfeld, and Ashley Hartwig as recipients of the Wisconsin State Academic Excellence Scholarships, and the following students as alternates in the priority listed: Molly Hearden, Logan Baker, Hanna Dahms, Will French, James Breidenbach, Zoei Kinjerski, and Nicole Vizer. 
6. Student Recognition
Description:  The Administration would like to recognize and congratulate students who have qualified for state level competitions or who were recipients of other prestigious level awards.
6.A. Academic Excellence Scholars
Description:  The top three seniors named as recipients of the 2021 Academic Excellence Scholarship recipients, along with the first three alternates, are invited to the Board meeting to receive recognition for their outstanding academic achievements.
6.B. American Volleyball Coaches Accociation (AVCA) Honorable Mention 
Description:  The AVCA recently announced the 15th annual Under Armour Girls High School All-America Teams. A record 975 nominations were submitted through the AVCA and MaxPreps, resulting in 150 All-Americans and Honorable Mention All Americans. Requirements for nomination were that the student-athlete be in her senior year of high school, that she be nominated by her high school coach, and that said coach be a member of the AVCA. Additionally, the student athlete's individual statistics for the entire season must be entered into MaxPreps, a free service that aggregates and distributes data on high school sports. The District will recognize WUHS Senior Mariah Grunze, who was nominated by her Coach Ashley Ingish and was named to the 2020 Under Armour Honorable Mention All-America list.
6.C. Recognition of Stock Market Game Finalists
Description:  Six teams of WUHS students enrolled in the Personal Finance class recently competed in a virtual stock market game sponsored by Economics Wisconsin. The competition, which teaches students about investments, has each team start with $100,000 to purchase stocks over a 10-week period. At the end of the 10-week period, the WUHS team of Parker Bey, Caden Hrouda, and Jennifer Weir saw their investments gain 55%, which earned them a 2nd place finish against 250 teams from across WI. Overall, the six WUHS teams that competed came in first place among the 25 competing school districts.  Advisor Jill Hanson will be at the meeting to speak about the competition.
6.D. Boys Swim Team State Qualifier
Description:  WUHS junior Spencer Gross is a swimmer on the Burlington Co-Op Boys Swim Team. He recently qualified for the state tournament in the 100-meter breast stroke event. Coach Denita Jones has been invited to the meeting to share a few words.
6.E. WUHS Wrestling Team - State Qualifiers
Description:  The WUHS wrestling team, coached by Tom Fitzpatrick and Nate Gill, qualified for the W.I.A.A. State Wrestling Team Tournament held February 19-20. Team members include: Mason Anderson, Jeremy Andreson, Brandon Bailey, Seth Bjorge, Jack Bojarski, Ashton Cairns, Jeremy Cherba, Joshua Cherba, Evan Danowski, Will French, Luke Funk, Hayden Halter, Hudson Halter, Brady Johnson, Lucas Johnson, Sawyer Kastenson, Jason Keeler, Bryce Konwent, Casey North, Hunter Rudzinski, Aidan Schaefer, Nicholas Shaw, Ramon Smikowski, and Carter Tiderman. Evan Danowski (Jr./170), Josh Cherba (Sr./138) and Hayden Halter (Sr./126) also qualified in their respective weight classes for the W.I.A.A. State Individual Wrestling Tournament held Feb. 11-13.

Description:  At this time the board would like to invite any member of the audience to stand with comments about items of interest or concern that do or do not appear on the agenda this evening. Please begin by stating your name and address. It would be appreciated if you would limit your comments to three minutes so that we can keep the meeting moving in a timely fashion and allow others an opportunity to speak. We ask that you remember that Wisconsin law prohibits us from discussing specific employees or their job performance. Thank you for your support of our school district.

9.A. Instructional Delivery Model Starting March 2, 2020
Description:  The Board took action at its December 2020 meeting to remain in a hybrid instructional delivery model through the end of February.  At this time, the board is requested to take action on the instructional delivery model starting March 2. Available options to the board include continuing a hybrid model of instruction, fully virtual for all students, or all students return to school.
