E.1.a. District administration recommends approval of Christopher Hitchings to serve as the next Principal at Centennial Elementary School, to become effective July 1, 2025.

F. Business and Finance

F.1. Recommend Award of the Flowing Wells District Site Improvement Bid # 25-03-25 to Building Excellence
|
F.1.a. On November 7, 2024 the District issued Bid # 25-03-25 for the Flowing Wells District Site Improvement project. The solicitation was advertised on AZ Purchasing, the District's website, and in the newspaper. The District held a pre-bid conference attended by potential contractors and subcontractors. The District received six bids by the due date of December 4, 2024. The bid log is attached for your reference. After careful review of the lowest bidder's proposal, the District, in conjunction with the architect, determined Pima Paving to be non-responsible. The proposal from the second lowest bidder, Building Excellence, was reviewed, determined to meet all the requirements, and deemed to be acceptable.
District administration recommends the Governing Board award Bid # 25-03-25 to Building Excellence LLC with a total bid of $646,250.00. This project will be funded with Unrestricted Capital.

F.2. Recommend Approval of FY2025-2026 Fee Schedules
|
F.2.a. District administration recommends approval of fee schedules for elementary, junior high, and high schools. Revisions are detailed in the attached memo and reflected in the accompanying schedules. Revisions include the removal of optional fees from the Board-approved schedules (such as yearbooks and parking passes) and updates to reflect current/projected pricing.

G. Unfinished Business

G.1. Recommend Approval of School Year Calendar for 2026-2027
|
G.1.a. District administration recommends approval of the school year calendar for 2026-2027. This calendar is unchanged from the draft that was presented as a discussion item during the December 10, 2024, Governing Board Meeting. The calendar has been reviewed with employee and parent groups and has been posted on the District website with directions for providing feedback. Consensus opinion supports this version of the calendar.
