1. CALL TO ORDER
FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS - Announcement by the Board President whether a quorum is present, and that the notice of the meeting has been duly called, and posted in the time and manner required by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551. |
2. CLOSED SESSION
Recess to Executive Session, pursuant to Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Section: 551.071) Private consultation with the board's attorney, 551.074) To deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. 551.082) Considering discipline of a public school child, or complaint or charge against personnel. If, during the course of the meeting, the Board of Trustees should determine that a closed session is required, the Board will conduct a closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Section listed above. The Board will vote on matters in Open Session considered in Closed Session or matters considered if the Board enters into a Closed meeting during the meeting, if applicable. |

This academic year, Lak'kenya has completed 14 semester courses for a total of seven credits toward graduation. She is a member of the 2023 cohort who started the year classified as a sophomore who is currently a junior and soon to be reclassified as a senior. Lak'Kenya is now on track to graduate with her 2023 cohort this academic year. After graduation, Lak'keya intends to study Business at Prairie View A&M University. |

MYLA-GRACE MCKINNEY
Myla-Grace McKinney is a fourth grade scholar at Collegiate Prep. She enjoys dancing, gymnastics and reading fiction series. She will be accompanied by her younger sister, Madelyn-Rose McKinney, a first grade scholar at Collegiate Prep. Madelyn enjoys playing Roblox, puzzles and gymnastics. Their parents are Adrian McKinney who serves as All Pro Dad Chair at Prep and their mother is Myisha Palmer-McKinney, the Assistant Principal at Collegiate Prep. Both have been on honor roll their entire academic career. Myla-Grace enjoys Art and ELAR. Madelyn- Rose enjoys her friends at school and is in the Gifted and Talented program. |

5. CITIZENS FORUM: The Board will now hear those who wish to make comments and who have completed and returned the Public Forum Citizen Participation Form. This section will be conducted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act and Board Policy. Speakers must limit comments to issues that can be presented in a public forum. Complaints about student discipline, specific student issues or personnel must be addressed through appropriate administrative channels.
