Description:  Steve Lowell, KCSD Chair, myself, and the KFCS and KCSD boards welcome you to its joint emergency board meeting.  Public input is welcome and encouraged during the Public Comment segment of this meeting. All those wishing to address the board have previously submitted their comments which will be read and added into the official record.  
2. INFORMATIONAL REPORTS AND DISCUSSIONS
2.1. Introduction to the meeting topic:  Liability Immunity

3.1. KCSD Board decision regarding the return to in-person learning
Presenter:  Steve Lowell, KCSD Chair
Recommended Motion(s):  I recommend that the Klamath County School District Board of Directors approve the return to in-person learning on Monday, January 11, 2021 without the certitude of liability immunity. This motion, made by Board Member #1 and seconded by Board Member #2, Passed.
Recommended Motion(s) #2:  I recommend the Klamath County School District Board of Directors postpone plans to start in-person learning to a date later than Monday, January 11, 2021 and until such time as we can be assured that the district is fully covered under the COVID-19 liability immunity legislation. This motion, made by Board Member #1 and seconded by Board Member #2, Passed.
3.2. KFCS Board decision regarding the return to in-person learning
Presenter:  Dr. Mychal Amos, KFCS Chair
Recommended Motion(s):  I recommend that the Klamath Falls City Schools approve the return to in-person learning without the certitude of liability immunity. This motion, made by Board Member #1 and seconded by Board Member #2, Passed.
Recommended Motion(s) #2:  I recommend the Klamath Falls City Schools Board of Education postpone plans to start in-person learning to a date later than Monday, January 11, 2021 and until such time as we can be assured that the district is fully covered under the COVID-19 liability immunity legislation. This motion, made by Board Member #1 and seconded by Board Member #2, Passed.
