Description:
Public Comments: The Board will accept public comments for the January 22nd, 2025 meeting. The Board is committed to the public comment process and will consider all public comment seriously. Public Comments for virtual meetings will continue to follow School Board Policy BDDH - Public Participation in Board Meetings.
PLEASE NOTE: Anyone wishing to sign up and speak during the Public Comments section of the agenda shall follow Board Policy (BDDH-Public Participation in Board Meetings) which states: "A person speaking during the designated portion of the agenda for public comment may offer objective criticism of district operations and programs. The Board will not hear comments regarding any individual district staff member. The Board chair will direct the visitor to the procedures in Board Policy KL - Complaints for consideration of a legitimate complaint involving a staff member. A commendation involving a staff member should be sent to the superintendent, who will forward it to the employee, a supervisor and the Board." The Board requests that a public comment add information or a perspective that has not already been mentioned previously, and that the patron refrains from repeating a similar point. Public Comment Options: Sign-up to speak at the meeting: A sign-up form will be available for those wishing to speak to the school board in person. 12.a. Action Requested: Ratify the North Wasco Education Support Professionals Collective Bargaining Agreement for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 school years.
Description:
DISCUSSION:
The District and the North Wasco Education Support Professionals Association have reached a tentative agreement for the North Wasco Education Support Professionals Association Collective Bargaining Agreement for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 school years. This includes several areas of language changes as well as salary increases. The salary schedule for the 2025/2026 school year shall be the June 30, 2025 salary schedule increased by 2.5%. The salary schedule for the 2026/2027 school year shall be the 2025/2026 salary schedule increased by the average of the values of the 12 month column of the All Urban Consumers, West Region (CPI-U) as published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics for the calendar year 2025 or 2% whichever is greater. The contract extends to June 30th, 2027 with only one reopener for Article 13 - Employee Benefits. ACTION ITEM: Move to accept and ratify the North Wasco Education Support Professionals Collective Bargaining Agreement as presented for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 school years, including the salary increases for both years.

DISCUSSION:
The Superintendent presented the recommendation to ratify the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the North Wasco Education Support Professionals which included salary increases for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 school year. The Confidential Employees group is a non-represented employee group. It is recommended that they receive the same salary increases as the North Wasco Education Support Professionals Employee group. The salary schedule for the 2025/2026 school year shall be the June 30, 2025 salary schedule increased by 2.5%. The salary schedule for the 2026/2027 school year shall be the 2025/2026 salary schedule increased by the average of the values of the 12 month column of the All Urban Consumers, West Region (CPI-U) as published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics for the calendar year 2025 or 2% whichever is greater. DISCUSSION:
The Superintendent presented the recommendation to ratify the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the D21 Education Association which included salary increases for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 school year. Non-represented employees (management) include the superintendent, licensed administrators, directors, and coordinators. It is recommended that this group receive the same salary increases as the D21 Education Association Employee group. The salary schedule for the 2025/2026 school year shall be the June 30, 2025 salary schedule increased by 1%. The salary schedule for the 2026/2027 school year shall be the 2025/2026 salary schedule increased by the average of the values of the 12 month column of the All Urban Consumers, West Region (CPI-U) as published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics for the calendar year 2025 or 2% whichever is greater.
