The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2020 as approved by the North Wasco County School District Budget Committee.  A copy of the budget may be inspected or obtained at 3632 W. 10th Street, The Dalles, Oregon between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 pm, or online at https://www.nwasco.k12.or.us. This Budget is for an annual budget
period. This budget was prepared on a basis of accounting that is the same as the basis of accounting used during the preceding year.

Description:  To comply with the Governor's executive orders, the North Wasco County School District Board of Directors will conduct the June 18th, 2020 meeting by video conference only.  

Public Comments: The Board will only accept written public comment for the June 18th, 2020 meeting. The Board is committed to the public comment process and will consider all public comment seriously.  Public Comments for virtual meetings will continue to follow School Board Policy BDDH - Public Participation in Board Meetings.

Written public comment for the June 18th, 2020 Meeting will be accepted until Wednesday, June 17th, 2020 by 12:00 (Noon). Public comments submitted after the deadline will be included in the next Regular School Board Meeting agenda.

Description:  The consent agenda consists of routine items for which board members need no further information on prior to voting.  The consent agenda should be voted on under one motion, rather than separate votes.  If a board member so requests, boards may allow a consent agenda item to be removed from the consent agenda and discussed separately.

Description:  Senate Bill 155 (2019) updated statute affecting release of personnel records when requests
are received.

Description:  House Bill 3077 (2019) provides a new definition of sexual harassment (includes sexual
assault), clarifies certain aspects of the reporting and investigating process, and requires the
allocation of resources to support individuals who report sexual harassment.

Description:  Senate Bill (SB) 52, also known as Adi’s Act and passed by the 2019 Legislature, directs
districts to adopt a policy requiring a comprehensive plan on student suicide prevention for
students in kindergarten through grade 12.

Description:  Call the executive session to order pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(b) "To consider the dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or agent, unless he or she requests an open meeting."
