Description:  To comply with the Governor's executive orders, the North Wasco County School District Board of Directors will conduct the September 24th, 2020 meeting by video conference only.  

Public Comments: The Board will only accept written public comment for the September 24th, 2020 meeting. The Board is committed to the public comment process and will consider all public comment seriously.  Public Comments for virtual meetings will continue to follow School Board Policy BDDH - Public Participation in Board Meetings. 

Please send written comments to publiccomments@nwasco.k12.or.us or by US Mail to North Wasco County School District 21 ATTN: Public Comments, 3632 West 10th Street, The Dalles, Oregon 97058. 

Clearly label the subject line as: "Public comment" and include the topic. Example: "Public Comment: Assessment.  "Approved written public comment will be included in the School Board Agenda under the Public Comment section and may be read aloud as determined by the Board Chair."

Written public comment for the September 24th, 2020 Meeting will be accepted until Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020 by 12:00 (Noon). Public comments submitted after the deadline will be included in the next Regular School Board Meeting agenda.

• 2018-2019 Oregon English Language Learners Report - Mauree Donahue Revier

The Oregon English Language Learner Report is an annual publication required by law (ORS 327.016), which reports on financial information for English language learner programs, the objectives and needs of students eligible for and enrolled in an English language learner program, as well as provides information on the demographics of students in English language learner programs in each school district.

• Action Item: Wahtonka Community School requested name change to Riverbend Community School

Wahtonka Community School has requested the Oregon Deprtment of Education change their official name to Riverbend Community School.  As part of the official process, the sponsoring District must also approve this name change.  
 

• Action Item:  Approve the Cooperative Agreement with Wishram High School & Lyle High School to join TDHS soccer team.  

Wishram High School & Lyle High School are not able to offer soccer to their students, so they are requesting a cooperative agreement with The Dalles High School to allow their students to participate on a soccer team.
