Description:
During the 2015 Legislative session and in House Bill 2412, Oregon Revised Statute 342.232 was repealed. This statute included language stating districts could hire non-licensed employees and allow them to report to work pending the return of a state and national criminal background check. This repeal was effective January 1, 2016. After working with the Oregon Dept of Education, OSBA has recommended changes to this policy based on the best practice available to districts.

8.p.22. 1st Reading: IGBAF-AR - Special Education-Individualized Education Program (IEP) [Required Changes)
Description:
The State Board of Education made a change in Oregon Administrative Rule (OAR) 581-015-2200, in the content of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), to reflect the revisions made to the guidance for IEP teams in the selection of statewide assessment for students on IEPs. IGBAF-AR is a required administrative regulation. ODE requires districts to send ARs related to special education for district students to the Board for adoption.
