VII. Conduct a Public Hearing on the 2021-22 Budget

Description:  In accordance with Oregon's Local Budget Law, the District has held four Budget Committee meetings this year, beginning in January, to review, discuss, revise and approve the 2021-22 budget.  A public comment period was offered at each of the budget meetings.

On May 10, 2021, the budget committee approved the 2020-21 proposed budget and then sent it to the 4J Board of Directors for adoption.  

This hearing is on the 2021-22 budget as approved by the Budget Committee on May 20, 2020.  Notice of this budget hearing and the 2020-21 budget totals were published in the Register Guard on May 23, 2021.

There will be a total of 30 minutes of public comment regarding the 2021-22 budget. Individual speakers are limited to 3 minutes and cannot give their time to another speaker.  Speakers may offer objective comments or criticism about district operations and programs, however, the board will not hear complaints concerning individual district personnel.  Please contact the Superintendent's office at 541-790-7707 for more information about submitting a formal complaint.
