2. OPEN BOARD POSITION
Description:
As you know, Tod Nau was appointed to fill the vacancy for Zone 2-City of Stayton last year. The current city limits of Stayton are larger than the current Zone for the City of Stayton due to growth over the past 10 years, so even though Tod Nau lives within the City limits, he is not eligible to run for the Zone 2 position.
Ron Lierman, who lives within these boundaries is willing to run as a write-in candidate for Zone 2. Ron has been in leadership roles in the City of Stayton and recently ran for the office of Mayor. Gary will be here to talk about what he has found out about write-in elections. OSBA suggests that you not endorse a candidate as a "Board" but that you may do so as individuals. If asked by the newspaper, you can say that you would personally endorse a specific write-in candidate. |
