Description:  Denyce Kelly will review the financial reports on the Consent Agenda.

 

Description:  Mr. Duff will present the following donations for board approval.

1. Tyco Body & Paint - $1,000 to the Mac-Hi FFA

Description:  Mr. Duff will present the district organizational business motions for the school year 2026-2027, for board approval. 

1. Move to appoint the Milton Freewater School Board of Directors as the contract review board for 2026-2027 (ORS 279.055)
2. Move to designate the Walla Walla Union Bulletin as the official daily newspaper for the district for 2026-2027
3. Move to appoint Michael Corey of Wheatland Insurance as the district insurance consultant for 2026-2027.
4. Move to continue with the district established depositories for 2026-2027 (Government Investment Pool, Baker Boyer, and First Community Credit Union).
5. Move to appoint the law firm Monahan, Grove, & Tucker as the school district legal counsel for 2026-2027, except in the area of labor negotiations or matters dealing with local agencies that might present a conflict of interest for the firm.
6. Move to retain High Desert ESD Legal Services, to represent the district in labor-related matters for the period of July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
7. Move to appoint Clear Trail CPA as the district official auditors for 2026-2027. 
8. Move to appoint superintendent, Aaron Duff, as the district clerk for 2026-2027.
9. Move to designate Aaron Duff as the custodian of all school district funds for the Milton Freewater Unified School District for 2026-2027. (ORS 328.441)
10. Move to authorize the facsimile signature of superintendent Aaron Duff, to be used as authorized for 2026-2027 (ORS 328.445)
11. Move to designate Superintendent Aaron Duff as the budget officer for 2026-2027 and 2027-2028. (ORS 294.321)

2. Jorge Estrada - Assistant Football Coach (1 year contract) - Mac-Hi

Description:  Mr. Duff will present the certified resignation, for board approval.

Description:  Mr. Duff will present the new certified hires for board approval.

2. Kaila Gibson - Teacher Mentor & Instructional Coach - Elementary
3. Junior Elechi - Special Education Teacher at Gib Olinger Elementary

Description:  Mr. Duff will present surplussing Bus #3 - possibly to another government organization or to Booker Auction, for board approval.

Description:  Mr. Duff will present the 26/27 contract with Communities in School,. for board approval.

1. Communities in School Contract 26/27 - $90,985.65

Description:  The Board will elect a Chair and Vice-Chair for the 2026-2027 school year.
