C.2) The Junior High would like to thank the many staff members for their continued support of providing after school activities for our students. Thank you to Cindy Pytel and Susan McQueary for sponsoring our 2nd annual Talent Show. Although there weren't as many students that performed as last year, the ones who did were AMAZING! Thank you to Rebecca Nix and Kathy Putnam for sponsoring our Gleaners Cooking Matters. Nearly 20 students met for 2 hours every week for 6 weeks to learn how to prepare healthy, yet tasty meals. Thank you to Ken Mueller for sponsoring our Art Club which allowed for many students to demonstrate their artistic talents. Thank you to Carla Kinyon for sponsoring the Scrabble Club. Students used their vocabulary skills while enjoying time with their peers. Thank you to Janet Langtry and Kasandra Brown for the 8th grade Girls Club to help many of our young ladies with transitioning to the high school. Ms Langtry also sponsored a book club and garden club this year. Also, thank you to our parent volunteer, Tanya Archambault, who supervised our Chess Club. Some students learned how to play while others improved their skills through a little friendly competition.
|
C.3) The Hazel Park Jr. High staff would like to thank our amazing PTSA led by President Heidi Fortress for making us feel so appreciated during Teacher Appreciation Week. We received breakfast on Monday and Wednesday, a lottery ticket on Tuesday, an incredible lunch on Thursday and a gift card on Friday! Thank you so much for your generosity!
