4.a.1) Approval of Requisitions

Description:
The attached list of requisitions are items that buildings or departments would like to purchase for their upcoming needs. The requisitions have gone through all the appropriate approval processes and have been approved by administration for purchase. In addition, there are funds available to make these purchases. Once the requisitions are approved they will be processed and purchase orders will be sent out. Please note that there are two confirming purchase orders, for Wayne County Health Licensing and Rapid Testing in order to meet the check deadline.

5.a.1) Appointment of Payroll and Benefits Technician - Michelle Schuch
Presenter:

Description:
Ms. Schuch holds an associate’s degree from Schoolcraft College and is currently enrolled in MSBO’s Payroll Certification program. She has experience using a wide variety of accounting and tax software and date platforms. She has 8 years of experience in the areas of billing, accounting, and payroll and benefits administration.

5.a.2) Appointment of High School Principal - Roni Abdulhadi

Description:
Mr. Abdulhadi earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, Masters of Arts in Bilingual and Bicultural Education, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Administration from Wayne State University. Mr. Abdulhadi has 22 years of experience in education and serving in administrative roles at the elementary, middle, and high school levels as well as serving on committees. Some of the highlights of his administrative experiences include leading the initiative for the 9th grade academy, designing master schedules that best meet the needs of students at all achievement levels, and working with school teams to cultivate a culture of learning and positive school climate.

5.a.3) Appointment of Middle School Principal - Scott Casebolt

Description:
Mr. Casebolt earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University, Masters in Art fo Teaching from Marygrove College. Mr. Casebolt has 20 years of experience in education and serving in administrative roles at both the middle and high school levels as well as serving on several district level committees and leading continuous process improvement teams. He credits his success to building leadership capacity at all levels including instructional, non-instructional, and student roles. The highlights of his leadership experience are building and maintaining positive school culture and climate, leveraging PLCs to drive instruction and maximize student learning, and leading the turnaround of a school from Priority School to Turnaround Model School in one year.

5.a.4) Appointment of Elementary School Principal - Highview - Linda Taleb

Description:
Ms. Taleb earned her Bachelor of Elementary Education from Wayne State University, Masters in Education from the University of Michigan, Masters in Education in TESOL from Madonna University and earned her School Administrator Certificate through the Michigan Association of Secondary Principals. She has 18 years of experience in the field of education and has serviced as an EL Resource teacher for the past 9 years. In this role, she has participated in school level leadership activities including; school improvement, mentoring and providing professional development to for other teachers across the district, developing curriculum to support the EL students in the district, serving as a parent liaison, and on district level projects including working with administration on the reintegration/back to school COVID team and Department of Justice compliance programming.
