2.A. Resolution Canvassing Returns of Votes for School District General Election for Board Members (Roll Call Vote)
Description:
By law, boards must canvass the election results in a timeframe between the third and 10th day after the election. November 18 is the 10th day following the general election. The results are presented for the board to review.
Recommendation: Approve the resolution as presented.

2.B. Resolution Authorizing Issuance of Certificates of Election and Directing the School District Clerk to Perform Other Election-Related Duties (Roll Call Vote)
Description:
After canvassing the special election and after the time for contesting the election has passed, candidates have filed the required campaign finance reports, the school board is required to issue certificates of election to the candidates who received the largest number of votes cast for the office.
Other election-related duties include candidates signing an acceptance of office, and taking the official oath of office. This is done in person at the district office within 30 days of mailing the certificates of election. Recommendation: Approve the resolution authorizing the issuance of election certificates and directing the clerk to perform other election-related duties as presented
