8.G. Authorize Rental of Farm Land for Summer of 2015
Presenter:
Todd Swanson
Description:
District staff is recommending the rental of the newly purchased Brown Farm and Pietz property for the summer of 2015. The project will not be ready to break ground until the fall of 2015 so it is to the advantage of the District's taxpayers that the land be utilized and rented out. The land will be rented to the farmer who rented the farm in 2014 from the Brown family. Any proceeds from the rental of the property will be deposited into the debt service fund to help payoff the bonds from the 2014 election. Rental of the land will save the District the expense of hiring someone to do weed mitigation at the site.
