Description:
Background:
A recent joint meeting with the City of St. Bonifacius and the School Board of Waconia District 110 generated conversation about the ballot language in the November 8, 2011 referendum. City Council members expressed frustration that the ballot language doesn’t specifically name the parcel of land and commit the district to building on that land. School Board members and district administration provided explanation regarding the legal limitations of the ballot language. St. Bonifacius city council members requested that a Board resolution be passed to affirm the commitment to use the proceeds of the ballot question for the construction of a school at the intersection of Highway 92 and Hunters Trail. The following resolution is being recommended for Board adoption:
