VIII.B. First Review of 2025-2026 School Calendar
Description:
Tuesday evening, a couple drafts of the 2025-2026 school calendar have been attached for the board to review. There are currently four options that have been developed with the collaboration of the teachers’ union leadership. We are still working with the summer contractors to determine the project timeline, which will have an impact on the start date of the school year. Each school calendar includes both winter and spring break holidays that align with the high school draft calendar being presented for consideration with their BOE. After the January discussion, we will plan to have the calendar hearing and have the Board officially approve the calendar in February if a final draft is selected before then. If not, we will hold the calendar hearing in March. Once the calendar is approved, we will release it to our D91 families. |

IX.E. Yoga Club at KG
Description:
Attached you will find a proposal for a new student and staff opportunity, Yoga Club. For this school year, we have been offering students the opportunity to learn and participate in activities before determining if this will become a club to remain permanently. Within the proposal, you will see it was created in response to some of the feedback from the Strategic Plan Community survey feedback to be more inclusive of our programs making sure all can participate. More importantly, this club will focus on the social and emotional well-being of our students and staff. The club will be offered bi-weekly to students and on the opposite weeks, will be offered biweekly to staff. We are also in the process of duplicating this club for MG as well for both staff and students, with details to follow closely to the description attached.
