Description:
Over the past two years the district has been focused on revising the teacher evaluation instrument and overall process. An update about the Evaluwise system and the future work for the Joint Committee will be provided for the board.

IV.C. Annual IMC Presentation
Description:
Shannon Hayes, IMC Specialist at Ide; Jaime Csorba, IMC Specialist at Prarieiview; and Susan Hagensee, IMC Specialist at Lakeview will be presenting a video highlighting the past year's activities in each of our IMCs.

IV.D. Job Descriptions for School Information Specialists and Teacher Aides
Description:
Job Descriptions for School Information Specialist, Teacher Aides, and Library Resource Center Aides are being finalized with the various groups and will be presented to the Board at the June 11 BOE meeting.

IV.E. Volunteer Recognition
Description:
As the Board is aware, we have some volunteers whose youngest child is graduating from 8th grade this year and want to honor their many years of dedication to CCSD 66. While all parent volunteers are recognized at the building level each year, the Board of Education will also recognize the parent volunteers whose youngest or only child is graduating this year at the June Board meeting.

IV.F. Straight "A" Recognition
Description:
As part of our Student Achievement Recognition program, we will recognize all Straight "A" students this year at the June Board meeting. While Prairieview and Lakeview recognize student achievement at the building level, this is an opportunity for the Board of Education to recognize the efforts of these students as well.

IV.G. 8th Grade Graduation
Description:
The 8th Grade Graduation is scheduled for Wednesday evening, June 3, 2015. The ceremony will be held at Lakeview beginning at 7:30 p.m. All BOE members are invited to take part in the ceremony and hand out diplomas to some of our graduates. We will divide the graduates based on the number of you that are able to attend. Of course, if you have a certain graduate that you are close to and would like to present them with their diploma,please let Mr. Windsor know and he will assign that row of graduates to you. We will meet in the Lakeview office at 7:15 p.m. for final directions and the entire ceremony should be over by 8:30 p.m. Please let Mr. Windsor know immediately, if you have not already done so, if you will be able to take part this year. The ceremony will be streamed live online for families who cannot attend.

VI.D. Destruction of Closed Session Recordings
Description:
As per Policy 2:220, after 18-months have passed since being made, the audio recording of a closed meeting is destroyed with Board approval.

VI.E. Property Tax Appeal Board Resolution
Description:
The District will soon receive the first appeals filed with the Property Tax Appeal Board
for the 2014 assessment year. PTAB requires the District to approve a resolution appointing the Scariano Law firm to represent it for each year of appeals. Attached is a copy of the Resolution Authorizing Intervention in Proceedings Before the State Property Tax Appeal Board. Recommendation: The Superintendent recommends the Board approve the resolution that authorizes the Scariano Law firm to represent the District before PTAB for 2014 appeals.

Description:
This is an opportunity for Committee Chairs and individual Board members to update the entire Board on any pertinent committee activities.

VII.B. Policy Revisions - First Reading
Description:
Revisions to the Board Policy are being presented in "red line" format for the first reading. It is anticipated that the policy changes will be brought back to the board for a second reading and approval at the June 11 Board meeting.
Additional revisions to a variety of policies related to our Acceptable Use of Technology are being drafted for Board Review at the June 11 meeting. The Policy Committee identified the need for additional clarification for the use of devices, not simply the network, as well as consistency of language.

VII.C. May Committee of the Whole Meeting
Description:
I am recommending we cancel the May 18th Committee of the Whole meeting and resume in June.

VII.D. Lunch Fees 2015-2016 School Year
Description:
Would like Board discussion on the pros and cons of increasing the cost of student and adult lunches $ .10 every other year vs. $ .05 every year. We did not increase last year.
Our current rate is: Students - $2.50 Adults - $2.90 Mr. Fred Amos, Aramark Representative, is recommending an increase for the 2015-2016 school year of $ .10 for student and adult lunches. |

IX.A. Staffing Needs Projections
Description:
Based on the current draft of the FY16 budget and direction provided by the Board at the May 4 Finance Committee meeting, a 2015-16 Staffing Plan will be presented for the Board's approval.

IX.B. 2014-2015 Amended Budget
Description:
Due to the Board's action of approving a resolution to abate funds from the Working Cash fund to the Education Fund, the FY15 budget will need to be amended. The process for amending a budget is identical to approving the original budget. For this amended budget, public notification was provided view the newspaper on April 1, 2015, it was available for public viewing for 30 days beginning April 1, and we will hold a public hearing at the May 7 Board meeting prior to approval.
