The Administration recommends approval of the following personnel changes pursuant to relevant laws and appropriate provisions of negotiated agreements between the Board of Education and exclusive representatives. For new hires, the indicated rates are consistent with current negotiated agreements and Board approved rates of pay. All rates/salaries listed do not include fringe benefits. |

Description:
New Hire
Jacob Bennewitz, English as a Second Language Teacher (Long-Call Substitute), South Junior High School, effective April 10, 2017, through June 8, 2017, Lane BA, Pay Level 1 (full time contract for 44.5 days). Mr. Bennewitz’s salary for this assignment will be $9,380.74. Patrick Ridpath, Mathematics Teacher (Long-Call Substitute), North Junior High School, effective April 12, 2017, through June 8, 2017, Lane BA, Pay Level 1 (full time contract for 42.5 days). Mr. Ridpath’s salary for this assignment will be $8,959.14. Leave of Absence Catherine Maland, Mathematics Teacher, North Junior High School, effective March 27, 2017, through May 12, 2017. Cheryl Owens, Grade 4 Teacher, Oak Hill Community School, effective for the 2017-2018, 2018-2019, and 2019-2020 school years. Ms. Owens to pay both employee and employer share of TRA. Additional Assignment Susan Youngbauer, Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, effective April 24, 2017, through June 7, 2017, Lane BA+60, Pay Level 3 (20% of a full time contract for 34 days). I.C. Board Policies Review (Section 100)
Description:
The following proposed updated/revised and new Board Policies for Section 100, School District, are on the agenda for the third and final reading.
The Administration recommends approval of the following proposed updated/revised and new Board Policies: Board Policy 101 - Legal Status (New Policy) Board Policy 101.1 - Name of School District Board Policy 102 - Equal Education Opportunity Board Policy 104 - School District Mission Statement Copies are attached.

I.D. Repeal Board Policies (Section 100)
Description:
The Administration recommends that the following current Board Policies be repealed:

I.E. Bid Award - Portable Classroom Installation - Lincoln Elementary School
The Administration recommends that the Board of Education award the bid for Portable Classroom Installation - Lincoln Elementary School to Project One Construction, Inc., in the amount of $410,930.00, based on low bid received meeting specifications. A bid tabulation is attached. This project is being funded with Operating Capital Funds.

I.F. Call for Bids - Milk & Ice Cream Products
The District is seeking bids for milk and ice cream based on the dollar value of the estimated annual contract in accordance with state statutes as well as for the purpose of obtaining the lowest possible pricing for the District. The Administration recommends that the Board of Education authorize a Call for Bids for Milk & Ice Cream Products to be opened on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. Central Time. The Call for Bids will be available at www.isd742.org, Departments, Business Services. |

Description:
Committee Chairs of Standing Committees that have met since the last Regular Board Meeting will present a report. Regular monthly Committee reports will continue to be presented at the second monthly Board meeting.
