III.B. Approval of Code of Conduct: Rights and Responsibilities for Students, Families and Staff Handbook (ACTION)

Description:
Dr. Marsha Baisch, Assistant Superintendent, along with Code of Conduct Task Force Members Laurie Putnam, Alicia Fischer, and Natalie Prasch, will review updates to the District's Code of Conduct, which has been renamed Code of Conduct: Rights and Responsibilities for Students, Families and Staff. The handbook has been updated to ensure it aligns with the District's current practices and provides clarity for discipline reporting. A copy of the handbook, along with additional information, is attached.
The Administration recommends approval of the Code of Conduct: Rights and Responsibilities for Students, Families and Staff Handbook for 2015-2016.

III.C. Minnesota State High School League Requirement - Training Video (ACTION)

Description:
Andrea Swanberg, Activities Director at Tech High School, will present information regarding a new MSHSL membership renewal requirement effective with the 2015-2016 school year. School Boards must view a Why We Play training video which defines the purpose of education-based athletics and activities and will assist in communicating a shared-common language as it relates to the value of these programs. Information is attached.
The Administration recommends approval of membership renewal in the Minnesota State High School League for 2015-2016.

Gohman Construction Co. in the amount of +$27,238.00 for HVAC Modifications that were required by the State during the plan review process, providing new finished walls over some of the existing wood paneling as well as new ACT Ceilings in 9 additional rooms and for modifications to the Outdoor Air design associated with Air Handling Units.
