Description:
Stephanie Peterson, Secondary Academic Achievement Coordinator, will address our Advanced Placement Vision Card progress. She will highlight District news pertaining to Advanced Placement and preparation thereof, such as our 2010 Brain Camp, which was held this past summer.
Brenda Sprenger, Assessment Coordinator, will present our data related to the growth measures on General Outcomes Measures District-wide. Dr. Julia Espe, Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, will address progress related to increasing our growth projectory plans for students who are performing below proficiency levels. In addition, she will report summer Welcome Center activity related to new student registration. |

II.C. Final Levy Certification Announcement

Description:
Amy Skaalerud, Controller, will announce that the Final Levy Certification will take place at the regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting on December 16, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Cloud City Hall located at 400 2nd Street South, St. Cloud, Minnesota. There will be time for public testimony.

III.B. Annual Report on Curriculum, Instruction, and Student Achievement (ACTION)

Description:
Dr. Julia Espe will provide information on the 2009-2010 Annual Report on Curriculum, Instruction and Student Achievement. She will review the crosswalk between the Annual Report and our Vision Cards Monitoring reports. This report must be approved for submission to the Minnesota Department of Education by October 1, 2010. Included in the report is information on the Curriculum and Instruction Advisory Committee, surveys, District testing and other teaching and learning items. A copy is attached.
The Administration recommends approval of the 2009-2010 Annual Report on Curriculum, Instruction, and Student Achievement.

VI.F. Approval for Submission of Grant Application
Description:
The Administration recommends approval for submission of a grant application in the amount of $685.00 by Clearview Elementary School to Target entitled "Important Local Places for Safety." The purpose of the grant will be to visit local resources that play a major role in the lives of Kindergarten students such as the post office, fire station, police station, and local health clinic.
