Description:
1. Attached is the process for the First Monday in January meeting. In addition, dates with meeting restrictions are attached. These were utilized in creating agenda items and documents for this meeting.
2. We will soon be beginning assessment season. While we do a variety of assessments throughout the year, MCA's begin in March and go through May. This year we are also doing the CAPTI Readbasix this winter for those who qualify. This is a screener for foundational reading skills . The assessment calendar can be accessed here. 3. Please let me know of any legislative items you would like to discuss for our February meeting. We will have MSBA's platform that was provided by the delegate assembly by that meeting as well. Additionally, let me know if you would like to attend the MSBA Day at the Capitol which is scheduled for Monday, March 9, 2026. 4. Resource Training and Solutions is seeking nominations for the Board of Directors. There are currently 3 open seats and three up for re-election (6 total). The term for these positions is April 2026 through March 2030. Meetings are the third Wednesday of each month at 12:45 pm, with lunch prior at 12:00 pm, at Resource Training & Solutions. Nominations are due on January 31. See the document at your place for more information. 5. I applied for a Minnesota DHS mini-grant ($25,000) to strengthen our school-based mental health especially supervision, telehealth, and Medicaid billing. We should hear back on or around January 23.

Description:
I recommend the Board of Education to authorize the Superintendent and Business Manager to conduct electronic fund transfers on behalf of the district per MN Statute 471.38, Subd. 3, and 3a.

5. RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS
Description:
Policy 706 Acceptance of Gifts permits the school board to accept donations or gifts under the terms of the policy. I recommend accepting the gifts as described in the enclosure. Thank you to those who have donated to our schools and students.
