1. Call meeting to order, roll call, establishment of a quorum and Pledge of Allegiance.

3. OPEN FORUM:  Comments from the public. Citizen Communications: (Limit of 3 minutes per speaker/group) Public Audience: Public comments for this meeting will be held as follows: Members of the public, if you wish to comment before the Board, you must email comments@eeisd.org by 6:00 p.m. on May 20, 2026, to give your name and topic you wish to comment on.   Individuals must send in their comments or questions to the body of the email.

4. BOARD MONITORING:

4.a. Discussion and presentation regarding the Lone Star Governance (LSG) Goal Progress Monitoring for Goals 1 and 2, including the review of Renaissance STAR End-of-Year Reading and Math assessment data for Kindergarten through 12th Grade students across the district.

5.a.1. Approval of the renewal contract agreement with Xerox Corporation for copier services district wide for a 3 year lease agreement

5.a.2. Approval to set Public Hearing for the approval of the proposed Budget and tax rate for June 15, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

5.a.3. Approval of Edcouch-Elsa ISD Donations

5.a.4. Approval to seek RFP's for Health Insurance

5.b.1. Approval of Playground Equipment for SB 1882 Elementary Campuses

5.b.2. Approval of the Summer 2026 Work Schedule

5.c. STAFF TRAVEL:

5.c.1. Approval of travel for Juan Romero to attend the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association May 30-June 3, 2026 in Austin, Texas

6. CLOSED SESSION: The superintendent requests that the Board of Trustees convene in closed meeting as authorized by the provisions of the Open Meeting Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.  This executive session is in accordance with the Texas Government Code Section:

6.a. 551.074 for the purpose of discussing personnel, considering appointment, employment, resignation, retirement, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee.

6.b. Consultation with legal counsel regarding a.)  pending or contemplated litigation b.)  settlement offer; or c.)  matter in which the duty of the attorney to Edcouch-Elsa Independent School District under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code (TX.Gov't. Code 551.071)
