1. Call meeting to order, roll call, establishment of a quorum and Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Invocation.

3. OPEN FORUM:  Comments from the public. Citizen Communications: (Limit of 3 minutes per speaker/group) Public Audience: Public comments for this meeting will be held as follows: Members of the public, if you wish to comment before the Board, you must email comments@eeisd.org by 11:30 a.m. on October 7, 2024, to give your name and topic you wish to comment on. 

4. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS:

4.a. Approval of resolution to transfer funds deposited into general fund to JRG campus activity fund for donations received for JRG student N. L.

5. CLOSED SESSION: The superintendent requests that the Board of Trustees convene in closed meeting as authorized by the provisions of the Open Meeting Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.  This executive session is in accordance with the Texas Government Code Section:

5.a. 551.074 for the purpose of discussing personnel, considering appointment, employment, resignation, retirement, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee.

5.a.1. Discussion to propose the termination and suspension without pay of Maria Elizabeth Orta.

5.b. Consultation with legal counsel regarding a.)  pending or contemplated litigation b.)  settlement offer; or c.)  matter in which the duty of the attorney to Edcouch-Elsa Independent School District under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code (TX.Gov't. Code 551.071)
