4. Approve 2020-21 School Bus purchases
Description:
Background:Annually, the district purchases replacement school buses. The goal is to maintain a bus replacement schedule that provides our community with safe, efficient student transportation. Route buses are typically operated on daily bus routes for 10-11 years. Buses may be retained as back-up buses and then they are stripped of parts for use in other bus repairs.
Recommended Action: Approve the purchase of (3) Thomas Route Buses and (1) Thomas Bus with Wheelchair Lift from Nelson Bus Service with budgeted funds from the 2020-2021 budget. |
5. Approve Rocky Branch and Meyer Middle School parking lot paving
Description:
Background: These parking lots have reached the end of their life-cycle. District will work with the Pierce County Highway Department to complete the projects.
Recommended Action: Approve Rocky Branch and Meyer Middle School parking lot paving projects a cost of $172,492 and $170,125, respectively. |
6. Approve Rocky Branch interior painting projects
Description:
Background: Rocky Branch hallways are schedule for drywall repair and painting in summer 2020. Prep, cleaning and drywall repairs will be done by a contractor with painting completed by district staff.
Recommended Action: Approve Rocky Branch interior painting project at a cost of $53,868. |

Description:
Background: Discussion regarding potential future agenda items to be included on upcoming meeting agendas.
Recommended Action: Determine future agenda items as needed. |
