Description:
Background: The following have been submitted for approval:
Item 1: December 16. 2019 Regular Board of Education meeting minutes Item 2: Bills submitted for payment Item 3: Pursuant to Board Policy which references Wisconsin Statutes Sections 111, 118, 121, all employees who require Wisconsin state certification shall be recommended by the superintendent to the Board of Education for approval. All recommendations presented at this time are pursuant to approved Board policies and accompanying administrative procedures. Recommended Action: Approve minutes, bills and employment as presented. |

5.B. Approve the first reading of revised policy 171.1 Public Notification of Board Meetings
Description:
Background: Policy updates include changing the publication in the local newspaper from the River Falls Journal to the Star Observer and including a list of the public posting sites to the policy.

5.E. Consideration and/or Action to approve January 6, 2020 Educational Program Committee recommendations
Description:
Background: The Committee met on January 6, 2020 to hear a K-5 Montessori Chinese Language and Culture in the Schools presentation; approve the 2020-21 RF4C Contracts; approve the District’s Notice of Educational Options; approve the District's memo to establish seats for Open Enrollment; approve the recommendation to discontinue the CVTC Business Academy Program and hear presentations of the RFHS Course Planning Guide and Course Registration Process, discuss alternative educational options for the high school students during the 11th grade ACT administration, and hear an update on the River Falls High School Graduation Credits and Study Hall options.
Recommended Action: 1. Approve the 2020-21 River Falls 4 Children Contracts. 2. Approve the District’s Notice of Educational Options. 3. Approve the District's memo to establish seats for Open Enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year. 4. Approve the recommendation to discontinue the CVTC Business Academy Program. |

5.F. Consideration and/or Action to approve January 13, 2020 Personnel Committee recommendations
Description:
Background: The Committee met on January 13, 2020 to approve revised Maintenance Department Job Descriptions; discuss 2020-21 preliminary certified staffing; hear a compensation analysis project update; discuss substitute fill rate; and lastly convene to executive session for the purpose of approving 2020-21 bargaining goals and approving continuing letters to administrators.
Recommended Action: 1. Approve revised Maintenance Department job descriptions as presented. |

5.G. Consideration and/or Action to approve January 14, 2020 Finance and Facilities Committee recommendations
Description:
Background: The Committee met on January 14, 2020 to approve the roof replacement plans for the 2020 Summer Capital Maintenance projects and approve the 2020-21 Budget Assumptions.
Recommended Action: 1. Approve Meyer Middle School Roof Replacement for $579,120, Rocky Branch Roof Replacement for $707,546 and High School Roof Replacement for $581,000 for a total of $1,867,666. 2. Approve 2020-2021 Budget Assumptions. |
