3. The Board of Trustees of the Sealy Independent School District will hold a public
hearing to consider an application for a limitation on the taxable value of property for maintenance and operations ad valorem tax purposes filed by SIKA  Corporation (Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Application J0011 under the Texas Jobs, Energy, Technology, and Innovation Act). The proposed project involves investment of approximately $20,000,000 by SIKA Corporation for the construction and expansion of its existing Sealy manufacturing facility, for the purpose of producing commercial roofing products. The proposed project location is within Sika Corporation’s existing plant site and would include the construction of a new 112,000 square foot facility. The project will be integrated into the existing infrastructure at SIKA Corporation’s existing Sealy plant site.

The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment on the application before the Board of Trustees determines, by official action, whether the District is agreeable to entering into a value limitation agreement as proposed in the application.
