RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GIFTS/DONATIONS to NORTHLAND COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT 118 WHEREAS the following; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of Northland Community School ISD No. 118, Remer, and State of Minnesota as follows: The Northland Community School ISD 118 School Board does hereby accepts the following donations: • $500 from Outing Chamber of Commerce for Post Prom • $500 from Northland Lions for Prom • $100 from Emily Outing Lake Area Lions for Post Prom • $180 in memory of Ken Ploetz and his love for fishing Leech Lake - for the "Hooked on Fishing" program - from Amy Johnson & family, Ruth Ploetz, Leslie Lettson & family, Jennifer Peterson & family • $1500 from Crow Wing Power for a scholarship • $20 from Brad and Marilyn Ford in memory of Sheldon Mayclin for 6th grade Hooked on Fishing • $50 from First National Bank for the Supermileage program • Autoharp from Liz Wheeler for the music program |

12.2. Approve Resolution for School Calendar Adjustment
WHEREAS, the Independent Schools District #118, Northland Community Schools, canceled instructional days on January 29, 30 and 31, 2019 and April 11, 2019 during the 2018-19 school year due to health and safety concerns; and WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature enacted laws of Minnesota 2019, Chapter 5-Senate File 1743, which permits Minnesota school districts and charter schools to count these dates as instructional days for purposes of calculating the number of hours and days in the school year pursuant to Minnesota law and the calculation of average daily membership pursuant to Minnesota law for students enrolled both before and after those school closure dates; and WHEREAS, the School District wishes to count the dates identified above for the purposes set forth in Laws of Minnesota 2019, Chapter 5-Senate file 1743; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of Independent School District #118, State of Minnesota, as follows: Pursuant to Laws of Minnesota 2019, Chapter 5-Senate File 1743, the canceled instructional days of January 29, 20, and 31, 2019 and April 11, 2019 will be counted in the calculation of the number hours and days in the school year and the calculation of the average daily membership for the 2018-2019 school year; and The School District will comply with all other requirements set forth in Laws of Minnesota 2019, Chapter 5-Senate File 1743. |
