10.A. STUDENT HEARINGS
10.A.1) Approval of Student Discipline Committee Recommendation (Student Case #128)
Description:  Approval of the Student Disciplinary Committee's recommendation to permanently expel the student identified in Student Case #128 from Howell Public Schools for violating Board Policy #5512 regarding vapor products and the District's Code of Conduct regarding persistent disobedience.

10.B.1) Appointment to the Howell Carnegie District Library Board of Trustees - EXHIBIT A
Description:  The superintendent recommends the re-appointment of Rick Scofield to the Howell Carnegie District Library Board of Trustees for a four-year term as shown in Exhibit A.

10.B.2) Approval of Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Program Cooperative Enrollment Agreement - EXHIBIT B
Description:  The superintendent recommends approval of the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Program Cooperative Enrollment Agreement allowing students in other school districts to participate in Howell Public Schools' AFJROTC Program as shown in Exhibit B.

Description:  The superintendent recommends approval of the tax rate request for the 18 mills non-homestead and 6.10 mills for the debt levy as shown in Exhibit C.

Description:  The superintendent recommends approval of award of bids for fire system inspection services to Gallagher Fire Equipment Co. for a three-year contract at the low bid price of $30,143.10 as shown in Exhibit E.

10.D.1) Approval of Flippen Group Contract - EXHIBIT F
Description:  The superintendent recommends approval of the Flippen Group Contract for Capturing Kids' Hearts training on August 14-15, 2019, in the amount of $26,000, contingent on Title IIa funding, as shown in Exhibit F.

10.D.2) Approval of NWEA Assessments Renewal - EXHIBIT G
Description:  The superintendent recommends renewal of NWEA assessments for the 2019-20 school year for grades K-10, at a cost of $11.50 per student for a total cost of $66,815 as shown in Exhibit G.

Description:  The superintendent recommends approval of the purchase of 1,500 iPads for the BK and 2nd grade classrooms and the technology specials classes at each building to Apple Inc., at a cost of $641,682.50 using technology bond funds as shown in Exhibit I.
