3.A. Congratulations to the Glen Crest band and chorus students on their performances at the May “Music in the Parks” festival. The Glen Crest chorus and 7th/8th grade band were competing against schools from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Canada. Glen Crest band and chorus were both awarded first-place trophies for class 1A and the overall trophies as the top-scoring ensembles. Glen Crest students also received the coveted Esprit de Corps Award, a special recognition given to just one school that displayed exemplary behavior, friendliness, and camaraderie. Band teachers are Katie Berry, Lev Garbar, and Andrew Tripoli. Chorus teacher is Sam Koppitz.

3.B. The Kiwanis Club has been providing snack packs for District 89 students in need since 2019. They deliver snacks every week to elementary school students. We would like to thank the Kiwanis Club for their generous donations and the continuous support of our students. |
3.C. Congratulations to the Glen Crest student-athletes who earned championships at the DuPage Metro Valley Association conference track-and-field meet held in May at Benedictine University. The eighth-grade boys' team finished first at the meet. Additionally, the following athletes were conference champions; eighth-grade boys: Daniel Alcala, Anthony Baldauf, Elijah Donahue, Vincent Gary Jr., Owen Martinez, Alan Pijul, Patrick O'Reilly, Giancarlo Pietrasanta and Evan Rubinas; eighth-grade girls: Ellie Konzelman, Alivia Perez-Allen and Mia Siguenza; seventh-grade boys: Andrew Woods and Logan Yates; and seventh-grade girls: Estelle Eltigani, Sara Jokobsze, Ashlyn Johnson, Amelia Kendra and Megan Littman.
