4.A. Arbor View School 5th Grade students Carter Carey, Marina D'Agostino, Jake Filip, Kendall Arlasky, Robbie McGimpsey and Julia Tillack will present this month's Student Spotlight. They will explain how, they partnered with Glen Crest 6th graders to select and review reading materials aimed at student interest. This project came from the PEP Grant "Book Bags" received this year. On hand to assist in the Student Spotlight are Arbor View staff members Joy Salzman, Melissa Migala and Mandy Dominguez.

4.B. The Glen Crest Athletic Department received a very generous memorial contribution in memory of Bradley Trifone, a former District 89 student. At the request of his parents, John and Marlene Trifone, the donation was applied towards purchases for the Interscholastic Volleyball Team. Thank you to the Trifone family for their kindness and generous support to District 89.

4.C. We have incresed our art collection in the Board room to now include selected works from Glen Crest students. Currently on display are collage inspired watercolors from the following students: Sahiti Yarakala, Melanie Mitcheff, Rebecca Sippel, Dorcas Wuanti, and Shannon Davis. Thank you to art teacher Rich Stachon for assisting .

Thank you to Glen Crest math teacher Jen Rodriguez for sharing her knowledge of Smartboard technology with the DIstrict 89 community during the Annual Report to the Community meetings on January 9 and February 8, 2010. Jen provided an enthusiastic hands-on demonstration showing examples of how to apply Smartboard usage to our various curricular areas.

7.A. Regional Office of Education. Dr. Darlene Ruscitti, DuPage County Regional Office of Education Superintendent, will provide an overview of services and programming.

7.B. National Board Certification. Monica Shekar, Glen Crest math instructor and National Board Certified teacher, will review the process to becoming a National Board Certified teacher.

7.C. Budget Planning. The administration will present budget containment strategies and recommendations.

7.D. 2010-2011, 2011-2012 Draft Calendars. Draft school calendars for 2010-11 and 2011-12 will be reviewed.

7.E. Print Solutions Maintenance Agreement. The administration will review a proposal for efficiencies in computer printers.
