General Fund:
This amendment consists only of transfers between functions 31, 13 and 11 for Special Programs and Curriculum & Instruction travel. 

This amendment nets zero so does not change amended budgeted the Fund Balance deficit.
 

Description:  During the regular legislative session, HB 3033 passed amending the Public Information Act by limiting the number of "non-business" days for school districts. It does allow boards to designate up to 10 days that will be considered "non-business days" for purposes of calculating PIA timelines.
 

Description: 

1. The date for the 2024 school board election is May 3, 2025.  Place 4 and Place 5 will be available in the May 3rd election.  The application period for a place on the ballot for school trustee is January 15, 2025 through February 14, 2025.  Applications will be available at the WSISD Administration Building during regular office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14^th.  The drawing for places on the ballot will be conducted in the Human Resource Office at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025.
2. Election will be held at WSISD Administration Building, 8224 White Settlement Road, White Settlement, TX. 76108.

Description:  During the Regular Board Meeting on October 21, 2024, the Board approved the demolition of the visitor side bleachers at the Brewer Middle School stadium. Prior to proceeding with the demolition, an inspection was conducted, which identified the presence of asbestos-containing materials in the structure. In compliance with federal and state regulations, asbestos abatement must be completed before demolition can begin.

TriCore Services, Inc. is the recommended vendor for this project. The total cost for the asbestos abatement services will be $43,300 and will paid from bond funds. All work will comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
