Description:
The District received an engagement letter from Pattillo, Brown & Hill, LLP for the financial audit year ending June 30, 2024. The firm is based in Waco, Texas. They have many years in school district auditing. The cost of the audit will not exceed $43,500. The District has been satisfied with their services.

F.5. Consider Approval of Vendor for the Purchase of Food Service Equipment
Description:
The district closed RFP 2324-08 for Food Service Equipment on March 28, 2024. We received 7 bids.
Per the bid evaluation criteria, the vendor selected for the purchase of food service equipment is Douglas Equipment. The total cost for this purchase is $200,751 and will be paid from the Child Nutrition budget.

F.6. Consider Approval of Instructional Materials Allotment and TEKS Certification for 2024-2025
Description:
Districts and open-enrollment charter schools are required to certify annually to the State Board of Education and the Commissioner that all instructional materials purchased or used by the District will assist in satisfying performance standards; will cover all elements of the essential knowledge and skills in required curriculum, other than physical education for each subject/grade level and will provide TEA with all enumerated information regarding instructional materials.

Description:
The district closed RFP 2324-09 for District Furniture on March 28, 2024. We received 20 responses.
Per the bid evaluation criteria, the vendor selected for the purchase of furniture for the new addition at West Elementary is FTW Safety and Industrial Supplies. The total cost is $259,725 and will be paid from bond funds. |
G.2. Consider Approval of Payment of Retainage for Completion of Projects at Brewer Middle School
Description:
Package 1 and Package 2B of the Brewer Middle School Renovations and Additions bond project have been completed. The retainage for these packages is due. The total remaining balance is $42,697.60 and will be paid from bond funds.
