Description:
Includes Oral and Written Petitions Three (3) minutes per individual; Five (5) minutes when representing group. Written request prior to meeting given to Executive Assistant for the Board Chair. The Board limits comments made to items not appearing on the agenda to the first 15 minutes of the call to the public. The Board limits comments made to items appearing on the agenda to the second 15 minutes of the call to the Public. Board members may not discuss the matter with the speaker or among themselves However, at the conclusion of the Call to the Public, an individual member may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the public body, may ask staff to review a matter, or may ask that a matter is put on a future agenda. The board may not block a comment because of its content and viewpoint.

Description:
Vail has grown from 880 CTE students to 1299 CTE students. Currently there are 297 students in the Ag Science Program and there is a waiting list for the class each year. We recommend approval for the special project in the amount of $103,333 as an advance on the 2010-2011 allotment.

8.E. Approval of change order for BFL construction in excess of $15,000 or 5% of the contract for mill work
Description:
"R7-2-1008. Change order percentage
A change order which increases the contract amount in excess of $15,000 or 5% of the contract amount, whichever is greater, may be executed if the governing board determines in writing that the change order is advantageous to the school district."
The mill work for the cosmo program requires custom design and installation so a change order to BFL is the most cost effective and advantageous solution.
