2.C. Announcement that this meeting has been duly called, and that notice of this meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Section 551.043 of the Texas Government Code.

3. Public Hearing on the Proposed 2024-2025 Budget and the 2024 Tax Rate:

3.A. 2024/2025 Proposed Budget and Fund Balance

3.B. The Board invites public comment on the proposed 2024/2025 school district budget and the 2024 tax rate.  A total rate of $1.1827 per $100 of valuation has been proposed: $0.7228 for the Maintenance and Operation rate and $0.4599 for the Interest and Sinking rate.

The proposed budget for 2024-2025 may be reviewed during normal business hours at the Navarro ISD Central Office, located at 6450 N. State Highway 123 in Geronimo, Texas. The proposed budget may also be viewed on the District website and the Board meeting agenda packet at www.nisd.us.  Summary budget documents may be found in the Board Meeting agenda.
