1.E. PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2008-09 BUDGET AND 2008 TAX RATE

1.E.6. The Board invites public comment on the proposed 2008-2009 school district budget and 2008 tax rate. A total rate of $1.44 per $100 of valuation has been proposed ($1.12 for the Maintenance and Operations rate and $.32 for the Interest and Sinking rate). No change is proposed from last year’s rate, which was also $1.44 ($1.12 M&O and $0.32 I&S). Copies of the proposed budget for 2008-2009 may be reviewed at the Navarro ISD Central Office, 6450 N. State Highway 123, located in Geronimo, Texas.
