8.B.1. Consider approving Arden Cherry as Student Representative and Emma Tenney as an alternate, to serve on the Governing Board for the 2020-2021 school year, as presented.
  
RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Every year students are interviewed by the Principal of Prescott High School, along with the Superintendent, to select a Student Representative to serve on the Governing Board to represent students, as well as giving the student perspective on the resolutions presented to the Governing Board.

8.B.2. Consider approving the list of the TRUST approved Hearing Officers, for student long-term suspension hearings for the 2020-2021 school year, as presented.

RELEVANT INFORMATION: Governing Board Policy JKD outlines procedures to be used for long-term suspension hearings. The hearing officers listed on the attached document have been trained to serve in this position. Approval of these hearing officers places the district in compliance with the current Governing Board Policy.

8.B.3. Consider approving a modification to the 2020/2021 school calendar by moving the parent/teacher conference half days from September 17th & 18th, to September 25th and October 2nd, as presented. 

RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Due to starting the school year in the distance learning model, teachers and school administrators would like additional time getting to know their students before holding parent/teacher conferences. Hybrid learning is projected to begin September 8th with students attending school physically for two days per week on a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday schedule. By moving the conferences to Fridays, students also would not lose any in-person instruction.

8.B.4. Discussion and possible action to elect a Delegate and Alternate Delegate to represent the Prescott Unified School District Governing Board at the Remote ASBA 2020 Delegate Assembly scheduled for October 17, 2020, as presented.

RELEVANT INFORMATION:
The Arizona School Boards Association recommends representation from Arizona school district's Governing Boards at their Annual Delegate Assembly. The Delegate Assembly is scheduled for October 17, 2020. The deadline for submitting the names of our Delegate and Alternate Delegate is September 1, 2020.

RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Procurement guidelines require the Governing Board to approve the listing of vendors that are utilized as "Sole Source."  Sole Source is when no reasonable alternative exists. Description:  The public is invited to request future agenda items. The request must be in writing on the form provided and turned into the Board Secretary at the beginning of the meeting or prior to the agenda item. The form must provide a very specific agenda item to be considered by the board. The public member may state the agenda item to be considered,  however, no description or conversation may take place at this time. The Board may not respond to questions or comments from the public, but may ask the superintendent to respond when appropriate. The Governing Board President or district office designee will contact the person making the request as of the status of the requested future agenda item.
