V. Recommendation for 2024-25 Capital Projects (Action Requested)
Description:
Estimated Time to Present: 10 Minutes
Annually, a Three-Year Capital Improvement Plan is submitted to the Board of Education for approval. Ryan Urmanski, Director of Buildings and Grounds, will review notable projects recently completed as well as the effect of alternate funding sources to provide context for the upcoming planned capital improvements. The projects planned for 2024-2025 are provided on the final page. Administration recommends the Committee of the Whole approve the 2024-2025 Capital Projects and the corresponding budget.

VI. Legal Expense Summary for 2nd Quarter of 2023-24
Description:

Assistant Superintendent Josh Viegut is presenting a summary report presenting all legal counsel expenses incurred during the second quarter of 2023-2024. The report is broken down by law firm and by type of legal advice sought. This is a written report that requires no action.

VIII. Presentation of Financial Projection Model Assumptions
Description:
Estimated Time to Present: 15 Minutes
Josh Viegut, will share many of the key variables contributing to the District's multi-year financial projection model. The model represents a baseline using current information, to which adjustments are subsequently made. The projection model uses budget numbers from the 2023-2024 District budget with percentages and/or dollar amounts cast forward, along with adjustments to create this baseline. Once these assumptions are built into the projection model, it will be presented to the Board at a later date.

IX. Montessori Expansion Grant (Action Requested)
Description:
Estimated Time to Present: 2 minutes
The Montessori Charter School received School Board Approval to expand to grades 4K-8th Grade. There is a Federal Charter School Grant through DPI that is available to support Wisconsin Charter Schools expansion costs, and we are seeking approval to apply for this grant to help support the costs associated with the expansion such as: Training and professional development, Curriculum and Resources, Equipment, and expanded learning experiences. These opportunities will enhance the learning for all students and staff at the Montessori Charter School.
