V. CALL TO PUBLIC
|
V.A. Pursuant to Federal Public Law 103-382, Title 8 (Impact Aid), and the District's Indian Education Policy (IGAK), this call is for any member of our district. The public is cautioned about making statements against employees of the District that may be considered slanderous. A further reminder, the minutes of this meeting are public record and may be used in other proceedings. This is the time that the public may speak to the Governing Board on any issue including agenda items. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter, or to reschedule the matter for further consideration and a decision at a later date if it is not already on the agenda. Comments under Call to Public will be limited to four minutes.
Those wishing to address the board are requested to submit their comments by one of the following methods by 10 am Tuesday January 14, 2025: email public comments to boerequests@holbrook.k12.az.us, fax to 928-524-3073 or mail by USPS to PO Box 640 Holbrook, AZ 86025. IX.A. KinderCamp 2025 Memorandum Of Understanding- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the United Way of Northern Arizona and HUSD #3 to provide KinderCamp for in-coming preschool to Kindergarten students at Park and Indian Wells Elementary Schools during the summer of 2025. The MOU and budget is included in the back-up materials.
Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve an MOU for KinderCamp with the United Way of Northern Arizona as presented. |
IX.B. Early Childhood Education Practicum Placement- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
Mrs. Heather Tucker is requesting to complete an early childhood practicum beginning Monday, January 13th for sixteen weeks. Mrs. Tucker will be placed in Mrs. Ciara Analla's first grade classroom. Mrs. Tucker has been interviewed and has the proper IVP fingerprint clearance.
Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve Mrs. Heather Tucker to complete her early childhood practicum at Park Elementary as presented. |
IX.C. Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant Practicum- Dr. Meeks
Description:
Ms. Ashli Northern has requested to complete a practicum for Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) hours in the second semester of this school year. Ms. Northern has been interviewed and has the necessary requirements to begin practicum hours under the direction of Ms. Karalyn Reidhead.
Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve Ms. Ashli Northern to complete SLPA under Ms. Karalyn Reidhead in the second semester of SY 24-25. |
IX.D. Fire Permit Construction Project Procedure- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
The Holbrook School District is requesting Governing Board approval of the attached procedure, which is required as per A.R.S. 34-461 for construction projects not permitted by local building departments, which outlines compliance requirements for applicable fire codes for state-owned buildings. The procedure will be submitted to the State Fire Marshall for fire permitting for the HHS science classroom remodel.
Recommendation: Discussion and consideration to approve the attached procedure to be submitted to the Fire Marshall for the fire permit for the Holbrook High School science lab editions. |
IX.E. Authorized Checking Account Signers & Student Activities Treasurer- Dr. Koerperich
Description:
The Governing Board is required to designate school officials who may sign checks from the various checking accounts used by our district. Included in the back-up material is a list of recommended authorized checking account signers and student activities treasurer for SY 24-25 with Gloria Todachennie added as an authorized check signer.
Recommendation: Discussion and consideration of approving the list of authorized check signers and student activities treasurer as presented in the back-up materials. |
