VII. Operations

VII.A. Freedom of Information Act Requests... Information
Description:
The District received a FOIA request and responded within the five (5) day time requesting an extension to Mr. Owen Wang who requested a copy of all emails and memos from the last twelve (12) months that contain the following keywords: 'Lucy Calkins' and 'Units of Study'. The District followed up with a final response on February 7, 2025, to Mr. Owen Wang stating that the request was unduly burdensome for the district. Mr. Wang was invited to narrow the scope of his request.
The District received a FOIA request and responded within the five (5) day time requesting an extension to Mr. William Ingalls who requested any email from staff and administration that includes the following terms: 'ICE' , 'raid(s)' , 'immigration', and 'immigrants' between January 1, 2025, and January 27, 2025. The District followed up with a final response on February 7, 2025, to Mr. Ingalls with confidential information redacted. The District received a FOIA request from Abbas Khan requesting district purchasing records from July 1, 2020, to the present day. The District followed up within the five (5) day required time providing the records requested. |
VIII. Executive Session
Description:
It is recommended that the Board of Education move to executive session to discuss pending litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probably or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting. 5 ILCS120/2(c)(11). In addition to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1). Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2).
