IV.B. Blanket Motion
Description:  Opportunity will be given for the selection of items that need no discussion to be approved at the appropriate time on the agenda.  The following items are recommended for the Blanket Motion:
IV.B.1. Contracts (a)...Action
IV.B.1.a. FY21 Annual Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Contract for Service
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the contract for the 2020-21 school year in the amount of $17,162.00 with the AVID Center 9797 Aero Drive, Suite 100 San Diego, CA 92123. District AVID funds will be used to account for the cost of this purchase.       
IV.B.2. Bills for Payment...Action
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education authorize Bills for Payment dated March 31, 2020 in the amount of $3,500,567.63.
IV.B.3. Certified Appointments...Action
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following certified appointments for 2020-21 school year of Amanda Crecelius (*salary revision from 3/24/20 board agenda to reflect MA + 15 versus MA).
IV.B.4. Certified Resignations...Action
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education accept the following certified resignations upon the completion of the 2019-20 school year of :
Charissa Butler-Frances Willard, five years of service
Melanie Graff-Eugene Field, two years of service
Cheyenne Morton-Frances Willard, one year of service
IV.B.5. Non-Certified Retirement...Action
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education accept the following resignation due to retirement upon the completion of the 2019-20 school year of Tim Yeargle, Custodian/RIHS, 30 years of service.
V. Operations
V.A. Board Policy Revisions...Information
Description:  Members of the Administrative team will present recommended revisions to Board Policies as received from the Illinois Association of School Boards policy service.
VI. Business/Finance
VI.A. Edison Junior High & Washington Junior High Bleacher Replacement...Action
Description:  It is recommended that the RIMSD Board of Education award the Bleacher Replacement at Edison and Washington Junior Highs to: Carroll Seating, Elk Grove Village, IL. at a cost of $123,000.00.
VI.B. Thurgood Marshall Door Replacement...Action
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the Interior Door Replacement at Thurgood Marshall Learning Center to:  Swanson Construction,Bettendorf, IA. in the amount of $11,505.42.
VI.C. Rock Island High School Stadium Renovations & Exterior Doors...Action
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the Rock Island High School Stadium Renovations including Alternate #1, Visitor’s Restrooms and Alternate #3, the replacement of exterior  doors at Eugene Field and Longfellow Elementary, to:  Bush Construction, Davenport, IA. in the amount of $768,300.00.
VI.D. Rock Island Academy Roof Replacement...Action
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the Rock Island Academy Roof Replacement
to:  Sterling Roofing, Sterling, IL. in the amount of $535,550.00.
VII. Personnel
VII.A. Teachers Completing a Partial Year of Service...Action
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following list of eleven (11)  first year probationary teachers that shall not be re-employed for the 2020-21 school year because they were hired after the first day of school. Therefore, their employment will terminate at the end of the 2019-20 school year. 
VII.B. Teachers Completing One Year of Probationary Service...Action
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following first year probationary teacher that shall not be re-employed for the 2020-21 school year. Therefore, his/her employment will terminate at the end of the 2019-20 school year.
VII.C. Teachers Completing Three Years Probationary Service...Action
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following list of two (2)  third year probationary teachers that shall not be re-employed for the 2020-21 school year. Therefore, their employment will terminate at the end of the 2019-20 school year.
VII.D. Non-Certified Staff to be Released due to Non-Renewal...Action
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following list of 33 non-certified employees that shall not be re-employed for the 2020-21 school year. Therefore, their employment will terminate at the end of the 2019-20 school year.
VII.E. Certified Employee Tenure...Information
Description:  The Administration recommends that the list of  22 personnel who have completed their probationary period in Rock Island-Milan School District #41 at the close of the 2019-20 school year be placed on Tenure beginning with the 2020-21 school year.
VII.F. Certified Employee Contracts After Three Years of Service...Information
Description:  The Administration recommends that the list of  22 personnel who have completed three years of probationary status, be issued a contract for the 2020-21 school year. The school year 2020-21 will be their fourth year of status towards Tenure.
VII.G. Certified Employee Contracts After Two Years of Service...Information
Description:  The Administration recommends that the list of  25 personnel who have completed two years of probationary status, be issued a contract for the 2020-21 school year. The school year 2020-21 will be their third year of status towards Tenure.
VII.H. Certified Employee Contracts After One Year of Service...Information
Description:  The Administration recommends that the list of  47 personnel who have completed one year of probationary status, be issued a contract for the 2020-21 school year. The school year 2020-21 will be their second year of status towards Tenure.
VIII. Executive Session
Description:  It is recommended that the Board of Education move to executive session to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body,including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine itsvalidity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c) (1).  Collective negotiating matters between
the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning
salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c) (2).
