I. Call to Order
Description:
In accordance with Sections 7(e)(2) and (4) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act (OMA), the Board president and the superintendent have determined that an in-person meeting of the members of the Board and the public is not practical, prudent or feasible due to COVID 19 considerations and summer conditions at the District’s Central Services Office and the District’s schools. The Superintendent and the Board President will be present at Hadley Middle School as provided for in Section 7(e)(5) of the OMA, but Board member participation will be conducted electronically, the meeting will be viewable by the public by live stream through the District’s website and public participation will be provided through email and a portal viewable by the Board and the public watching the live stream of the meeting. Details for public viewing and participation will be available on the District’s website and summarized in the agenda below.

IV. Public Participation
Description:
Individuals who wish to make public comment virtually during the live streamed Board of Education meeting must complete and submit a form no later than 1:00 PM on August 13, 2020. Once the form is submitted the speaker will be sent a confirmation email and link to join the meeting at the appropriate time. Speakers will be admitted to the meeting via Zoom by the meeting host. Speakers will have three (3) minutes for public comment and adhere to Board Policy 2:230- Public Participation at School Board Meetings and Petitions to the Board when making comments. Individuals who wish to submit comment to be read by the Board President may do so by submitting comments to D41PublicComments@d41.org by 4:00 p.m. the day of the meeting. Comments received after 4 p.m. will not be read during the meeting but will be forwarded to the Board and attached to the approved minutes. |
