Description:
Texas Govt. Code Ch. 2258 entitles a worker, laborer or mechanic employed on public work (exclusive of maintenance work) by or on behalf of the Donna ISD to be paid not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for work of a similar character in the geographical limits of the District. The administration recommends the adoption of the Prevailing Wage determined by the USDOL and published on SAM.gov as wage determinations or as applicable to the David-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. Section 276a et seq.) and subsequent amendments. A worker is employed on public work if employed by a contractor or subcontractor.

IV.A.d. Approval for Solis Contractors (TIPS JOC Awarded Vendor #241001) for Paving Improvements to Auto Traffic & Parking Lots for Munoz Elementary School.

Description:
Paving improvements to parking lots and to assist in auto traffic areas are essential to ensuring the safety, efficiency, and longevity of DISD's transportation infrastructure. Over time, exposure to traffic loads and weather conditions contributes to pavement deterioration. These conditions not only compromise vehicle and pedestrian safety but also increase long-term maintenance costs.
