Description:  The October 2024 Personnel Report is attached for Board review and approval. 

Description:  Our School District could receive up to $50,000 for school maintenance projects. This is a matching grant and requires a dollar-for-dollar matching contribution. To receive the maximum grant, we need to spend $50,000 of local funds. For the FY25 grant, we have identified the district-wide replacement of our fire alarm system. This project is a priority for the district.

Description:  Select section 6 policies (Curriculum and Instruction) are attached with changes in red. The Board reviewed these policies at the September meeting. 

Description:  The Board of Education reviewed and revised the Superintendent's Goals at the September Board Meeting. They are attached. 

Description:  These are the annual compensation reports that require annual approval. 

Description:  Superintendent Dave Palzet will provide the Board with a brief update on items listed.

Description:  Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests are filled by our FOIA manager, Mr.Sonntag.  The district fulfilled the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests below.

1. From Mr. Owen Wang from the South Cook News seeking information on the district's security systems. 

Description:  Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2).

The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, specific individuals who serve as independent contractors in a park, recreational, or educational setting, or specific volunteers of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee, a specific individual who serves as an independent contractor in a park, recreational, or educational setting, or a volunteer of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. However, a meeting to consider an increase in compensation to a specific employee of a public body that is subject to the Local Government Wage Increase Transparency Act may not be closed and shall be open to the public and posted and held in accordance with this Act. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).
