Description:  Recommendation:
That the Board of Education approves the consent agenda as presented.

Description:  The minutes are included for Board review.

Description:  Board Secretary Mary Lenzen is recommending declassification the closed session minutes in the attached memo.  Also, closed-session audio recordings over 18 months old are being recommended for destruction. 

Description:  The warrant lists are attached for Board review.  Bill Brockob and Griffin Sonntag reviewed the bills.

Description:  Attached is the Personnel Report for your review. It contains the resignation of Tousha Summers (Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent), Lindsay Truesdale (PE Teacher at Pleasantdale Middle School), Haylee O'Donnell (Second-Grade Teacher at PES (on leave)), Melissa McCroy (Special Education Teacher at PMS (on leave)), and extended parental leave for Allison Jarosz (Kindergarten Teacher).

Description:  Anna Wiszowaty from the firm Baker Tilly will present the District Audit Report.

Recommendation:
That the Board of Education approves acceptance of the FY23 audit report as presented by Anna Wiszowaty of Baker Tilly.

Description:  As is our practice, the Board of Education regularly reviews Board Policy to ensure that our current policies reflect the realities of running a school district. The following policies are on the agenda for review or revision (1.120, 3.40, and 4.60)

Description:  Superintendent Dave Palzet will provide the Board with a brief update on items listed.

Description:  The district received one Freedom of Information Request (FOIA) this month.

Nathan Mihelich from Illinois Retired Teachers Association: Please provide the name and email address of any certified staff (teachers, administrators, nurses, counselors, etc.) who are retiring this year. As of the date of the request, we have no staff retiring in 2024. 

Description:  The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, including meetings held for the purpose of discussing whether a particular parcel should be acquired. (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(5).

The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, specific individuals who serve as independent contractors in a park, recreational, or educational setting, or specific volunteers of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee, a specific individual who serves as an independent contractor in an educational setting, or a volunteer of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).
