II.A. First Weeks with Mike - Update
Description:
Mike's first weeks have been spent getting to know his team and learning about the District 23 culture. We have spent a considerable amount of time together, meeting with a number of groups. Discussions with building principals have provided an opportunity to address building needs and priorities and achieve an understanding of the need for budgetary planning. We have met with several vendors in order to get up to speed on prior conversations and plans for several projects, moving forward. Additionally, the vendor meetings have given us an opportunity to provide some clarity on District expectations.

II.B. Discussion of Summer 2021 Work
Description:
Discussion: Marshall Roofing Marshall Roofing had been notified that liquidated damages (LD's) were being assessed per the contract until full project completion. LD's are $500 per day which will be credited back to the District. Paving repairs took place on 9/16 and the last roof walk was on 9/23. We are finalizing the invoices for the project and resolving the damage fees to the District.
HVAC Retrofit Project - We anticipate final commissioning by E-cube on this summer's work within the next few weeks. While the Honeywell installation team has had significant manpower issues over the past few weeks, we have had weekly status meetings and project updates almost daily. We have been able to address much of the backlog and are now working with Emcor to make adjustments as needed as backordered parts are finally coming in. Construction Voucher - Attached is the Master Project Tracking Sheet. A limited number of invoices will be presented to the Board for approval at the October Board meeting.

II.C. Initial Plan for Summer 2022 Work
Description:
In alignment with the District's capital plan, early planning for our Summer 2022 work is already underway. Projects planned for the summer include HVAC retrofit work at MacArthur and roofing and paving at Sullivan. We recently were also made aware of a recurring water infiltration issue in the MacArthur band room. The band room is about 1/3 below grade and most likely will require foundation waterproofing and proper drainage to provide exterior water drainage. We are currently working to finalize these plans and budget with Arcon.

II.D. Lost Time - Overtime Report
Description:
The Lost Time /Over Time report for September has been attached. The report reflects limited time off, as we have worked to get the year off to a good start!

II.E. Investigations
Description:
There are two projects that have been proposed by partners that we are in the early stages of discussing:
1. City of Prospect Heights flood mitigation impacting easement at Eisenhower. 2. Prospect Heights Library sidewalk access at Eisenhower.
